Our client, a leading investment management firm in Luxembourg, is seeking a Valuation Analyst to join its valuation team.
This firm specializes in managing alternative investment funds (AIFs) across various asset classes, including private equity, real estate, credit, and hedge fund solutions.
Your role
As a Valuation Analyst, you will play a key role in the valuation process of investments and NAV oversight for the funds under management. You will collaborate with internal valuation teams, global finance teams, and external service providers to ensure accurate fund valuations and efficient reporting processes. Additionally, you will contribute to IT-driven process improvements within the valuation and fund financial operations department.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform investment valuation and NAV analysis at the fund level, preparing reports for senior management.
- Participate in valuation reviews of real estate investments, including assessing investment memos and external appraiser reports.
- Oversee the completion of quarterly and audited annual financial reports.
- Analyze complex financial data to provide accurate valuation insights.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders (e.g., central administrators, auditors) to ensure smooth valuation and reporting processes.
- Develop and implement IT-driven process improvements to enhance operational efficiency in valuation and fund financial operations.
- Support new fund onboardings and ensure compliance with valuation policies.
- Manage responsibilities related to offshore teams.
Your profile
- 1-3 years of experience in fund valuation, fund finance, or audit within the investment management sector.
- Strong knowledge of alternative investment funds (AIFs) and valuation principles.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, fund accounting, and NAV calculations.
- IT-savvy mindset with experience in process automation and financial reporting tools.
- Fluent in English; any additional language is a plus.
